Thomas F. Cotter is the Taft Stettinius & Hollister Professor of Law at the University of Minnesota Law School. Professor Cotter's principal research and teaching interests are in the fields of domestic and international intellectual property law, antitrust, and law and economics. Among the books he has authored or edited are FRAND: German Case Law and Global Developments (Peter Georg Picht, Thomas F. Cotter & Erik Habich eds., Edward Elgar Publishing 2024); Patent Wars: How Patents Impact Our Daily Lives (Oxford University Press 2018); and Comparative Patent Remedies: A Legal and Economic Analysis (Oxford University Press 2013).
