AIPLA’s Diversity in IP Law and Women in IP Law Committees will present a webinar on Careers in Intellectual Property on Wednesday, April 22nd at 12:30 PM ET. This webinar will explore a wide range of career paths available in Intellectual Property. Our panelists will share insights into IP careers that require a law degree, a STEM degree, both, or neither and highlight how professionals from diverse backgrounds can build meaningful careers in the IP field. Attendees will gain practical guidance, personal perspectives, and tips for navigating different entry points into IP.

The organizations emphasized the importance of this authority in enabling the USPTO to fund operations, modernize its systems, and maintain efficient patent and trademark examination processes.

June 29, 2026 – The American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) submitted comments supporting the U.S. Copyright Office's proposed expansion of eligibility for group registration of updates to news websites by removing restrictions that exclude subject-specific publications.
