The Politics of Supreme Court Appointments
presented by Dr. Jonathan Kastellec, Associate Professor of Politics at Princeton University.
Supreme Court nominations and confirmations are now highly contested and politicized affairs, with presidents,
senators, interest groups, the media, and the public all highly invested in both the process and the outcome. This
was not always so. In this lecture Professor Kastellec will describe and explain the broader changes in American
politics that have brought us to this point.

AIPLA Comments on Proposed Thai Patent Law

Arlington, VA. January 30, 2025 –The American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) submitted comments to the Department of Intellectual Property of Thailand on the New Draft Patent Law being considered for adoption. The comments focus on many issues in the proposed law relating to patent registration, subject matter eligibility, patent term extensions, and enforcement, among other matters.
