    Salvador M. Bezos is a director in Sterne Kessler’s Electronics Practice Group. Sal helps clients develop enforceable patent portfolios in a wide range of technical areas, including user interfaces, financial software products, cloud computing, parallel and distributed computer architectures, computer graphics, networking, automotive technology, databases, and computer architectures.

    Lathrop GPM | Senior Counsel

    Sheldon Klein served as President of AIPLA and the U.S. section of AIPPI in 2018-2019 and has held numerous other leadership roles in the Association. His practice focuses on trademark, copyright, unfair competition, advertising, and social media, including availability and infringement opinions, portfolio management, litigation, licensing, and transactions. Sheldon has handled numerous opposition and cancellation proceedings before the USPTO’s Trial and Appeal Board, including a successful opposition, last year, against an application to register BACH N ROLL MUSIC ACADEMY based on his client’s mark BACH TO ROCK.

    Patent Trial and Appeal Board of the USPTO | Acting Senior Lead Administrative Patent Judge

    Judge Quinn was appointed to the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (“PTAB”) on October 12, 2012. Judge Quinn earned her Electrical Engineering degree from Florida International University, and after years of working as a telecommunications engineer and project manager she earned her J.D. from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida. Over the years, Judge Quinn has held various positions at the PTAB, including Lead Administrative Patent Judge, Acting Vice Chief Judge, Division 2, Acting Vice Chief Judge, Division 3, and now Acting Senior Lead Administrative Patent Judge. She offices in the Texas Regional Office located in Dallas, Texas, and focuses on PTAB leadership as well as presiding over AIA trials
  • Worth, James A.

    Patent Trial and Appeal Board of the USPTO | Acting Vice Chief Administrative Patent Judge

    James A. Worth was appointed as an Administrative Patent Judge on May 19, 2014, and he is currently serving as an Acting Vice Chief Administrative Patent Judge. Judge Worth earned his law degree from the New York University School of Law. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the Yale College. Judge Worth served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Pauline Newman, Circuit Judge, United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He continued his public service as a Special Assistant United States Attorney with the United States Attorney’s Office at the Eastern District of Virginia. Prior to joining the Board, Judge Worth served as a General Attorney at the United States International Trade Commission.

    USPTO Trademark Trial and Appeal Board | Administrative Trademark Judge

    Jonathan Hudis is an Administrative Trademark Judge with the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (“TTAB”) of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (“USPTO”). Prior to joining the USPTO, Judge Hudis was in private practice as a partner with the national law firms Quarles & Brady LLP and Oblon, McClelland, Maier & Neustadt LLP, respectively. He also served on the Trademark Public Advisory Committee (“TPAC”) of the USPTO, on the Board of directors of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (“AIPLA”), and was member of the Council of the American Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Law Section (“ABA-IPL”).
  • Lynch, Cynthia C.

    Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the USPTO | Administrative Trademark Judge

    Cynthia C. Lynch currently serves as an Administrative Trademark Judge on the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the USPTO. She also holds the position of Professorial Lecturer in Law at George Washington University Law School, where she teaches Trademark and Unfair Competition Law. From 2006 to 2015, she was the USPTO’s Administrator for Trademark Policy and Procedure, responsible for the development and dissemination of trademark regulations and trademark examination policy, and oversight of the Trademark Legal Policy Office and Petitions Office. She previously served as an Associate Solicitor at the USPTO for five years, where she litigated trial and appellate trademark and patent matters in the federal courts, and regularly assisted the U.S. Solicitor General’s Office on I.P. cases at the U.S. Supreme Court.
