This week, the Senate Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Intellectual Property will hold its first two hearings on “The State of Patent Eligibility in America.”

The hearings will take place on June 4 and June 5 in the Dirksen Senate Office Building and will feature three panels, with five witnesses on each panel. Both hearings will be webcast on the Senate website.

Among the witnesses will be AIPLA President-Elect Barbara Fiacco as well as AIPLA Past-President Robert A. Armitage. Also scheduled to testify is Former Chief Judge for the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit Paul R. Michel, former USPTO Directors David J. Kappos and Q. Todd Dickinson, Intellectual Property Owners Association President Henry Hadad, and Immediate Past Chair for the Intellectual Property Law Section of the American Bar Association Scott Partridge.
