Mr. Verma is an Advocate and registered Patent, Design & Trademark Attorney in INDIA, UAE & USA. In over 20+ years of experience, Mr. Verma has amassed vast experience in IP strategic advisory, patent drafting, prosecution and litigation.
Mr. Verma has handled and managed large IP projects for multiple national and international clients involving framing IP strategy and IP implementation framework, assisting clients to build their IP portfolio. Specifically, in High Tech industry, he has handled a variety of issues including protection of software patents in India. He has advised on issues related to SEPs, technology standards and indemnification for Patent/IP-Infringement.
Mr. Verma also has rich experience in technology deployment involving implementation of telecom and IT infrastructure, and software development. Mr. Verma appears regularly before various Indian Patent Offices and High Courts in hearing matters of Patents and Trade Marks in India and UAE.
Leadership Position:
(i) Adv. Verma is Chair of India Sub-committee of AIPLA (2024-onwards)
(ii) Adv. Verma is Standing Committee Member of AIPPI’s Standing Committee on Information Technology & Internet and represent India in the Standing Committee (2022 - 2025)
(iii) Adv. Verma is Standing Committee Member of Copyright Committee of APAA and co-represent India in the Standing Committee (2023-2025)
(iv) Adv. Verma is member of Design Committee of INTA and co-represent India in the Standing Committee & handle the work of INTA Designs Policy Subcommittee (2023-2025). Additionally, Adv. Verma has been appointed by INTA as the Member of Trade Dress Task-Force (2024-2025).
(v) Adv. Verma is the Member of AI Task-Force of American Intellectual Property Law Association & Represent India in the Task-Force (2023-2025)
(vi) Adv. Verma has been appointed by the Governor of Maharashtra (April 2024) as a council member to Dr. Homi Bhabha State University, Mumbai, where he advises the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor on the curriculum for technical education at the University (2024-2028)
