Andrea Postiglione is a legal professional currently serving as Deputy Advocate General at the Supreme Court of Cassation in Italy and as a presiding judge at the Unified Patent Court in Milan. With a legal career beginning in 1995, Postiglione has experience as a lawyer, public prosecutor, and judge across various courts, including the Enterprise Court of Rome focusing on intellectual property cases. Fluent in Italian, German, English, and with good knowledge of French, Postiglione has also studied in Germany and worked with WWF Italy’s legal department.

1995-2000:
Before I entered the judiciary I have been working as a lawyer in 1998-2000 in the Legislative Office of the Ministry of the Environment.
My professional training includes a one-year cooperation with the legal department of WWF Italy (1997-1998).
In 1994-1995 I studied at the University of Hamburg in Germany.

2000/2015:
6th March 2000: entering the judiciary.
From 2001 to 2005 Public Prosecutor at the DA Office of Bolzano.
From 2005 to 2011 working as a judge at the first instance Court of Bolzano, civil branch.
From 2011 to 2015 appointed to the Court of Appeal in Rome.

2015/ 2024
from February 2015 sitting judge at the Enterprise Court of Rome dealing primarily with IP cases (trademarks, patents, antitrust and copyright).
