Prior to practicing as a Registered Patent Attorney at Thomas | Horstemeyer, Jason worked as a Primary Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, a Product Engineer at Intel Corporation, and a Research and Development Engineer at ENI Technologies (now a division of MKS Instruments).

As a Primary Patent Examiner at the Patent Office, Jason examined patent applications in the fields of Digital Communications and Telecommunications. There, Jason became familiar with industry-leading digital data modulation, demodulation, coding, decoding, and spread spectrum techniques.

At Intel Corporation, Jason designed multi-chip product packages and developed test software for multi-chip memory products.At ENI Technologies, Jason focused on digital and analog circuit design for high-energy switching power supplies, from design conception through implementation and testing. 

In his practice as a Registered Patent Attorney, Jason’s experience includes the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in various fields, including transmitters and receivers, video processors, software, semiconductor design and manufacturing, medical instruments, power systems, software, and business methods, among others. In his practice before the U.S. Patent Office, Jason’s experience includes Re-examination and Inter Partes Review trial proceedings.

Jason experience also includes patent litigation, freedom to operate, infringement, and invalidity analysis, patent portfolio management, licensing, and intellectual-property related due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
