Karen Morita leads Foley Hoag’s human resources function. She is committed to supporting the business strategy, objectives and values of the firm by providing services that address the firm’s business challenges and, promotes a work environment that is characterized by fair treatment of all people, open communications, personal accountability, trust and mutual respect. In her role, Karen is a member of the firm’s Standing Committee, whose members act as a resource to employees in regard to the firm’s Policy & Procedure Against Discrimination and Harassment.

Karen brings 20 years of experience as an HR leader in the legal industry including her most recent roles at Shearman & Sterling as Director of Employment, Policy & Systems, and Greenberg Traurig as the firm wide Head of Human Resources. Karen’s areas of expertise include HR strategy and transformation, HR policy and compliance, employee relations, performance management, professional development, total rewards, and HR technology.
