Intel Corporation | Assistant Director of Patents

Iris Mok joined Intel Corporation in March 2011 from an acquisition of the wireless business of Infineon Technologies in Munich. She managed a large wireless technology patent portfolio, provides patent related counseling to various business units, and support litigation, licensing, and M&A activities. Now, Iris manages a patent portfolio focusing on Autonomous Platforms technologies, including drones, autonomous driving, robotics, and sensors.  Ms. Mok previously served as co-chair of the AIPLA European and International Law committee and is now the vice chair of the US Bar EPO Liaison Council.

Previously, Ms. Mok has practiced in matters involving the following technologies—

  • computer hardware and software systems
  • object-oriented programming technologies including Java
  • software architecture including UML
  • semiconductor manufacturing technologies
  • network architecture and database systems
  • Web technologies, including HTML, XML and SQL
  • telecommunications and emergency response systems.

Prior to her in house career, she worked as Associate at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer and Feld, LLP in Dallas, specialized in patent litigation in the Eastern District of Texas.  She has also been an engineer for various high tech companies, including IBM, Lockheed Martin, Trilogy Software, and USAA.

Ms. Mok received her J.D. from Southern Methodist University in 2008, her M.S. in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 2003 with concentration in software engineering and her B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1998. She is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the AIPLA.
