Jeffrey Gluck is presently a partner with Panitch Schwarze Belisario & Nadel LLP.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and computer science, a master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering, and a doctorate in electrical engineering, as well as a law degree.  His career in intellectual property was preceded by an eleven year career as an engineering professor and as an engineer.  He has been practicing intellectual property law since 1994, initially as a patent examiner, and then, since 1999, as a patent agent and as an attorney.  Prior to joining Panitch Schwarze, Dr. Gluck practiced at Venable LLP, Connolly Bove Lodge & Hutz, LLP, and Novak Druce Connolly Bove + Quigg, LLP.  While his practice focuses primarily on patent preparation and prosecution and related client counseling and opinion work, he also provides client counseling regarding standards issues and open-source software issues, and he has further served on trial litigation teams, regarding patent- and trade secret-related cases, and has successfully argued a patent infringement appeal before the Federal Circuit.  He is a long-time member of the AIPLA Standards and Open Source Committee, active in both areas of the committee, and is also a U.S. delegate to AIPPI’s Standing Committee on Standards and Patents.  He is also a member of the AIPLA Electrical and Communications Law Committee
