Dell Technologies | Sr. Litigation Counsel for IP Matters

Lauren Hoffer is Sr. Litigation Counsel for IP Matters at Dell Technologies.  In this role, she handles day to day strategy and logistics with outside counsel on Dell’s patent litigation in federal district court and the International Trade Commission.  Her day includes enforcing and upholding contractual IP obligations with suppliers and customers.  She also works to support Dell’s interests through lobbying and amicus efforts and handles negotiation of IP terms with suppliers and customers.  Prior to her current role, Lauren also handled product liability and commercial litigation for Dell.  She is active on the internal diversity and CLE committees.

Prior to joining Dell in 2011, Lauren was an associate in IP and Commercial litigation at Morgan Lewis and Jones Day.

Lauren currently serves as a volunteer Director for the Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics, where she uses her IP expertise in negotiations with universities and labs being funded to research a medicine to help her son, Ben, who has Angelman syndrome – a rare neurogenetic disorder.  Lauren lives in Austin, Texas with Ben, her other son, Charlie and husband, Greg – who also works at Dell and often finds himself unwittingly helping uncover case facts and volunteering his colleagues to help as well.
