Allison Gaul is an Of Counsel attorney at the Firm, and currently assist clients with a variety of intellectual property and data privacy matters. Ms. Gaul is adept at developing creative approaches for short and long term intellectual property and risk management strategies. She specializes in technical field areas of computer engineering and software.

Before joining the Firm, Ms. Gaul practiced as a patent attorney at law firms large and small. She also worked as a Patent Examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, examining patent applications directed towards Business Methods involving network and information security, and financial transactions. Ms. Gaul has substantial experience in the field of Networking and Information Security. Her research experience includes the National Institute for Standards & Technology’s Advanced Networking Division where she worked on load-balancing solutions in wireless telecommunications systems.

Ms. Gaul has a bachelors of science in Applied Mathematics from Appalachian State University and minors in Computer Science, Computational Physics, and Astronomy (2007). She graduated from the Temple University Beasley School of law in 2012. Her registrations include the United States Patent and Trademark Office and the State of New York. She has received multiple recognitions from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law and the New York State Bar Association for her excellence in providing pro bono intellectual property and corporate transactional services to small businesses and start-up ventures. She has also been recognized by the American Intellectual Property Law Association for her efforts in international artificial intelligence policy advocacy.
