Freddie Park

Ms. Park currently consults with medical device clients as Principal, Park IP Consulting.  She previously served as Vice President, Legal Affairs for Merz Aesthetics, a medical aesthetics company located in San Mateo, California.  Prior to Merz she served as Vice President, Legal Affairs at BioForm Medical which was acquired by Merz Pharmaceuticals.  She also served as Vice President, Intellectual Property for Connetics Corporation, a pharmaceutical company located in Palo Alto, CA; Vice President and Chief Patent Counsel for Advanced Medical Optics, Inc., an ophthalmic device company located in Santa Ana, CA; and Director of Intellectual Property for VISX, Inc., the leading company in laser vision correction located in Santa Clara, CA.  Ms. Park practiced law at Morrison & Foerster in Palo Alto, CA and Foley & Lardner in Washington, DC after graduating from George Mason University School of Law.  Prior to entering law school, Ms. Park served as Vice President Research & Development for Dynatech Laboratories, a medical device company located in the Washington, D.C. area. Ms. Park served as a member of the Board of Directors of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) and was appointed as a Fellow of this organization.  In addition, she served as Chair  and Vice Chair of the AIPLA Committee on FDA Law and as a member of the AIPLA Amicus Committee.  She also served as the past Chair and Vice Chair of the Corporate Practice and Women in IP Law Committee.
