Ken is an attorney at IBM.  He focuses on drafting and negotiating agreements for patent transactions and, as IBM’s US Trade Secrets counsel, on coordinating IBM’s trade secret management program.  During his 20 years at IBM, he has also been responsible for a range of IP issues, including review of open source software licenses.  Prior to joining IBM, Ken was a law clerk to Chief Judge Glenn Archer at the Federal Circuit; an Associate Solicitor in the USPTO; and in private practice at law firms in Washington, D.C.  He has a B.S. from SUNY Stony Brook, J.D. from Catholic University, and LL.M. from George Washington University.  Ken is the former chair of IPO’s Open Source committee and is currently vice-chair of AIPLA’s Standards and Open Source committee.
