Jennifer Burdman is Managing Director at Sauvegarder Investment Management, focused on intellectual property-based financing, investment and monetization opportunities. She is an IP strategist, former executive at biotechnology companies, and former partner in an international law firm. In her prior roles as Chief Intellectual Property Officer at a number of biotech startups, Ms. Burdman was the lead IP negotiator on $1.5B of equity investment and royalties in AI/ML drug discovery technology areas. She has developed and implemented company IP strategy and counseled executive management and boards of directors on matters relating to the acquisition, protection, licensing, and enforcement of IP rights. Ms. Burdman has also been first-chair trial lawyer in complex, high-stakes litigation in patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, and disputes involving IP, including on over $1B of trial awards. She has received multiple recognitions and awards for her expertise, including being featured in Vanguard Law Magazine and recognized as one of the Top 25 Women Leaders in Biotechnology of 2020 by The Healthcare Technology Report.
