Bemben, Richard

Rick is a director in Sterne Kessler’s Electronics Practice Group and a Co-Chair of the firm’s PTAB Practice. He holds degrees in computer and electrical engineering and served as an examiner before starting his practice. Rick is a recognized leader in post-grant proceedings before the PTAB. Over the last decade, he has been counsel in over 175 AIA trials and dozens of related appeals at the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Rick’s practice also includes ex parte reexaminations, ITC investigations, and district court cases, particularly in complex cases involving parallel litigation in different fora.
