Angela Wilson is Trademark Counsel at GlaxoSmithKline (“GSK”), a science-led global healthcare company, based out of GSK’s U.S. pharmaceutical headquarters in Research Triangle Park (“RTP”), NC. Since joining GSK in 2013, she has been responsible for providing legal advice and strategy on a variety of trademark, trade dress, copyright, domain name and related intellectual property issues. She also manages GSK’s anti-counterfeiting enforcement efforts in South America and the Caribbean markets for GSK’s pharmaceutical, consumer healthcare, and vaccines businesses.
In addition to her legal responsibilities, Angela serves on the GSK Legal Inclusion & Diversity Committee and is the RTP city-lead for LCLD’s mentoring program. Before joining GSK, she practiced at an intellectual property boutique law firm in Atlanta, GA where she represented companies that own some of the world’s most recognizable brands.
She currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for Crayons2Calculators, an organization that provides free school supplies to teachers in Durham, NC, and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Durham County Public Library. She is also a member of the Junior League of Durham and Orange Counties, the Durham Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and is a founding member of the RTP Black Corporate Attorneys’ Network.
Angela is a proud Razorback having received her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Arkansas.
