The US Patent and Trademark Office will brief users on recent examination practice and procedure guidance related to examination of ranges during its Virtual Instructor Led Training (vILT) course Examination of Ranges on February 11, 12, or 13.

Examination of Ranges covers the examination of claims that contain ranges and identification of prior art relating to ranges.  Topics covered include how prior art should be applied to numerical ranges, anticipation and obviousness analysis as they apply to ranges, and optimization of ranges. The course has limited capacity, and selection for attendance is based on a first-come, first-served basis. Sign up by Sunday, January 26 to attend.
