As rapidly as practice before the USPTO evolves, it can be hard to stay on top of the latest news, procedures, and tools. This comprehensive two-day program is designed to provide you training in US Patent & Trademark Office operations, services and procedures. 

This conference, which has been a cooperative effort with AIPLA and the United States Patent & Trademark Office, for 40 years, is an ongoing outreach program that debuted in 1979. It is the premiere source of help and information for hundreds of office administrators, paralegals, and legal secretaries.  The event is hosted at AIPLA's headquarters in Arlington, VA, in the AIPLA Past President's Conference Center. The registration fee is $195.00 for members and $395.00 for nonmembers.  Space is limited to the first 60 people.  It is a first sign up, first assign basis.  On-site registration is not available.  Payment must accompany your completed registration form.  You will receive a confirmation email when your registration is processed–please do not make travel arrangements until you receive a confirmation, as this program sells out quickly.  No refunds, credits or transfers of registration fees will be given after July 15, 2019.

Cancellation Policy
Cancel by July 14, 2019 and receive a refund less a $50 processing fee. No refunds issued after close of business July 15, 2019. Cancellations must be made in writing and emailed to Any refunds will be processed after the meeting.

AIPLA's headquarter offices are located directly adjacent to the Crowne Plaza Crystal City.  The Crystal Gateway Marriott, the Crystal City Marriott, and the  Westin Crystal City are all within walking distance.  The nearest metro station, a short walk away, is the Crystal City Metro.
