IP Practice Abroad

The Association includes several committees in the Global Sector that are focused on establishing and maintaining relations with intellectual property professionals in countries across the globe. These committees are also tasked with engaging in exchanges to further the understanding of the law and practice related to intellectual property in the jurisdictions within the scope of the committees’ focus and, in return provide non-U.S. intellectual property professionals with a better understanding of the U.S. IP system.  Finally, the committees participate in the AIPLA International Advocacy activities.

Exchanges to maintain relations and to gain better understanding of IP systems around the globe occur through regularly scheduled committee programming and committee delegation trips conducted by various committees in the Global Sector.
