Mission Statement

Sec. 1. This committee shall consist of members chosen by the President-Elect for a term of three years by geographical distribution to provide opportunity for personal acquaintance of one or more members with associations in the United States having an interest in intellectual property law.

Sec. 2. This committee shall foster beneficial relationships with associations in the United States having an interest in intellectual property law, encourage cooperation with those associations on educational activities, and develop and maintain a method of linking the websites of those associations to the AIPLA website.

In order to build beneficial relationships with associations in the United States having an interest in intellectual property law, the Committee addressed the threshold matter of identifying these associations. We have endeavored to compile an extensive list of stand-alone associations having an interest in intellectual property law as well as sections of larger associations (e.g., state bars and national organizations) having such an interest. The Committee has taken the first step of building relationships with those associations by calling personally each of the leaders of the associations/sections to obtain their contact information and to introduce to them our Committee and its purpose.

The contact information is organized by state. To access information about an IP association/section in a particular state, click on the desired state in the map and the information for that state will appear. The Committee has endeavored to be as comprehensive as possible in compiling its list but there may be some organizations that have not been included. If that is the case, please don't hesitate to contact Harrie Samaras or Bill Frank with such additional information.

Please note that this compilation of information is solely for the use of AIPLA members.
