The Committee’s mission is to provide AIPLA members a forum for discussion, education, networking, and understanding of Federal Regulatory Law and practice, particularly as this practice interacts with US Intellectual Property Law.

	AT Articles Wanted	The Antitrust Committee has sent out a call for articles to include in the next AIPLA Antitrust News. If you have been following the recent "Pay for Delay" cases and controversey, consider drafting a paper for inclusion in the article. Not want to go it alone? Consider partnering with one or more of your Food and Drug Committee members to write a short article, then dive a bit deeper for a paper and/or presentation at our Spring committee meeting. If interested, contact Denise Kettelberger or Steven Parker and we will make the match! Articles due by May 1, 2012.
	Spring Meeting Speakers Wanted	During the upcoming Spring meeting of the AIPLA, the Food and Drug Committee will host a roundtable discussion of the various guidances and cases released for review in several areas of our subcommittees: Biosimilars; Antitrust (Pay for Delay cases); Medical Devices, Labeling, plant "genetic drift" (recent CA Dist Ct case and others). If you would like to present a summary of a new Guidance in one of these or other area of interest to our committee, please contact Denise Kettelberger or Stephen Parker before March 20, 2012.
	NEW COMMITTEE NAME! FOOD AND DRUG COMMITTEE	SPECIAL COMMITTEE ON FDA is now a standing committee with a new name, THE FOOD AND DRUG COMMITEE. Our committee's focus is on the intersection of IP law and regulation, for example by the FDA. This time of year we ask you to confirm your interest in the Committee by confirming status on the LYRIS LIST and indicating interest in one or more of our SUBCOMMITTEES. Invite friends and colleagues to join the committee on the AIPLA website. WE NEED YOUR TALENT! If you would like to CHAIR or Vice CHAIR a subcommittee, please contact Denise Kettelberger or Stephen Parker. Current subcommittees are: HATCH WAXMAN; BIOSIMILARS, MEDICAL DEVICES, NAMING & LABELING, and ANTITRUST. New subcommittees are: PLANTS and FOOD.
