Copyright Law

The Copyright Law Committee is charged with considering all laws, regulations and practices providing or affecting rights relating to copyrights. The Committee works to Inform itself and report on all phases of activity of the Copyright Office of concern to the profession or the public, in particular with respect to the forms provided for the registration of claim to copyright, the acceptance or rejection of such claims, title recordation facilities, search facilities, and document supply facilities.

Thanks to the hard work of the members of the Copyright Case Summary Project, thorough summaries of important copyright cases from the 3rd and 4th quarters of of 2010 are now available to Copyright Committee members.  Special thanks to our law student contributors:  Sean Flaim, Deb Sengupta, Megan Wantland, Misti Mirpuri, Rob Weaver, and Josh Miller.  Please visit the ​Copyright Case Summaries page ​to access these resources.
