AIPLA works closely with international organizations and governments to advocate for our members' interests.
AIPLA has served both the national and international IP communities for well over a century with education, advocacy, and practice development programs and events. We recognize the important role attorneys and agents play in the protection of international intellectual property rights.
Nearly a decade ago, AIPLA and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Intellectual Property. More recently, AIPLA reached out to National IP Practitioner Associations from around the globe to come together in a summit to discuss common issues and challenges, and share the views and visions of colleagues around the world.
We also advocate on behalf of our members and make our views known to various international bodies and governments. Click the links to the left to view AIPLA's advocacy statements.
