The Professionalism and Ethics Committee members are appointed by the President-Elect for a term of three years, in which their duties shall be to promote the education of AIPLA members and the public about professionalism. Committee members keep under constant scrutiny the Code of Professional Responsibility of the corporation and the workings thereof and recommend to the Board of Directors for adoption in due course, any amendments to that Code which may be desirable, together with a report of the reasons for such recommendations.

At the request of the Board, Committee members may also render to any active member applying therefor an advisory opinion on any question of contemplated professional conduct of such member.  Advisory opinions rendered shall be published in the Bulletin upon approval by the Board of Directors.
