2007 AIPLA Job Fair Information for Participating Firms and Corporations
Welcome to the 17th Annual Job Fair. The Job Fair is always held on the last day of our Annual Meeting. Please visit our the Meetings and Events section of the website and click on Stated Meetings to see the 2007 Annual Meeting highlights. The Job Fair interview process will be held in person on Saturday, October 20, 2007, from 11:00 a.m. and continue throughout Saturday afternoon at half-hour intervals until 4:00 p.m. at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C.
Interviews will be conducted in Hotel Suites or in 8’ x 10’ booths
Registration for the Job Fair is now closed.
The eligible members who meet the specified criteria and are interested in interviewing will post their resume online at the AIPLA Job Fair Career Fair or submit their application NO LATER THAN THURSDAY, AUGUST 30, 2007.
Do not directly contact participating members for an interview or hire them prior to the Job Fair. If you interview or hire any participating members prior to the Job Fair this may jeopardize your ability to participate in future Job Fairs.
If you selected a hotel suite, we will send you the necessary form to you to complete with payment and confirm your reservation with the hotel NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, AUGUST 31, 2007. As of August 8, 2007 the suites are sold out.
If you've registered you should receive or may have already received an interview selection form. Please list the top ten candidates and return the form to AIPLA headquarters NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2007. The contact person is responsible for selecting the eligible members your firm/corporation who will conduct the interview(s). Please select at least ten candidates per interviewer, unless you receive fewer than ten resumes. It is important to select ten candidates to be fair to all applicants. Our goal is to ensure that the eligible members have the opportunity to interview, to the extent possible.
Once AIPLA Headquarters receives all interview selection forms, we will compile a schedule that matches the candidates with the participating interviewers. The most interviews each candidate could have is ten. Our objective is to schedule all of the candidates you have requested. The firm/corporation contact person will receive your schedule NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2007 (FIRM DEADLINE).
Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. A large number of AIPLA Members will post resumes and plan to interview. Please understand this is a COMMITMENT. This is very important to our Members! If you cancel your participation in the Job Fair your firm/corporation may not be able to participate in future Job Fairs.
The interviews will begin at 11:00 a.m. and are scheduled on the half hour throughout the afternoon until 4:00 p.m. All participants are committed to conducting ten interviews or the corresponding number if they receive fewer than ten resumes.
