2009 AIPLA Career Fair Information for Participating Firms and Corporations
Registration is now open for the 19th Annual Fair, to be held on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, Washington, DC, during the AIPLA Annual Meeting.

INFORMATION FOR EMPLOYERS and INTERVIEWERS
New this year: The Career Fair will include a trade show component that will provide firms and companies the opportunity to showcase themselves to job seekers, whether or not they have a specific job they are filling.
REGISTRATION FEES:
• Career Fair - General Registration – $445 – includes 1-30 day job posting valid through June 30, 2010 and 1-8’ x 8’ exhibit space. (Space can be used for booth display or for scheduled interviews).
• Career Fair - General Registration with Hotel Suite – $445 – includes 1-30 day job posting valid through June 30, 2010 and 1-8’ x 8’ exhibit space for both display and ability to reserve a hotel suite to conduct interviews. Payment for the hotel suite will be handled separatly. Suites are available at the AIPLA Annual Meeting Group Rate of $261 per night plus tax. A two night minimum will be required for those employers wishing to keep the room beyond 5 pm on Saturday, October 17, 2009.
• Career Fair - Premium Registration – $550 – includes 1-30 day job posting valid through June 30, 2010 and 2-8’ x 8’ exhibit spaces (one for a company display and one to conduct interviews)

For companies planning to conduct interviews onsite:
The Career Fair interview process will be held from 11:00 a.m. and continue throughout Saturday afternoon at half-hour intervals until 4:00 p.m. Interviews will be conducted in Hotel Suites or in 8’ x 8’ booths.
There are a limited number of Hotel Suites available on a first-come first-served basis. Suite reservations may require a two-night minimum and are available for $261 plus tax per night. Suites are limited to two per Employer. If you selected a hotel suite, we will send you the necessary form to complete with payment and confirm your reservation with the hotel. Forms must be returned to AIPLA NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2009.
Once your Career Fair Registration is complete, your account will be credited for the appropriate amount of job posting credits. You will need to go into your account and use those credits to post your Career Fair positions. So that applicants will have enough time to prepare their applications, we ask that you post your Career Fair positions as soon as possible.
The eligible AIPLA members will register for the Career Fair as Job Seekers. They will post their resume online at the AIPLA Job Fair or submit their application NO LATER THAN MONDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2009. Their online resumes will be accesible in the Career Center and will be distinguished by a special Career Fair icon: 
You will be responsible for scheduling the interviews for candidates. Go to Helpful Hints for Employers for guidance on how to use the online system. We recommend you develop your onsite interview schedule as soon as you've indentified candidates you'd like to interview but recommend that you conclude the process NO LATER THAN TUESDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2009. The contact person is responsible for selecting the eligible members your firm/corporation who will conduct the interview(s). Please select at least ten candidates per interviewer, unless you receive fewer than ten resumes. It is important to select ten candidates to be fair to all applicants. Our goal is to ensure that the eligible members have the opportunity to interview, to the extent possible.
For companies planning to host a booth display only:
The Career Fair hall will open at 9 am for booth display set up. Please be sure to be there on time to ensure your display is ready when the Hall opens at 11 am. Freeman is the exhibit company that will support the event and will contact you with an exhibit kit to let you know what is available to complete your Firm or Company display. Please be prepared to collect resumes from potential candidates. Remember that your job posting credit is valid until June 30, 2010 and you have until then to post a job using the AIPLA Career Center.
Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. A large number of AIPLA Members will post resumes, plan to interview, or plan to come and learn more about your Firm or Corporation. Please understand this is a COMMITMENT. This is very important to our Members! If you cancel your participation in the Career Fair your firm/corporation may not be able to participate in future Career Fairs.
