Corporate Counsel

AIPLA is the premier legal association focusing on intellectual property issues.  More than a third of our 15,000 members serve in corporate practice -- experts in their respective fields who have all found AIPLA invaluable.  Expertise in intellectual property is now considered essential for corporate counsel.  From contracts to business methods, from licensing to data systems, corporate legal departments more and more often are tasked with protecting intellectual assets so their company will be safe to pursue success in today's increasingly challenging business.

The Association's Corporate Practice Committee is focused on maximizing the AIPLA benefits available to corporate members and increasing corporate attorney participation in the AIPLA. The Committee encourages discussion regarding issues of interest to corporate members and development/presentation of programs that benefit those members.  The Committee also works to learn of and address issues and concerns of corporate practitioners both inside and outside of the AIPLA.
