Honorable Paul R. Michel


The Honorable Paul R. Michel, Chief Judge of the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit will join others to discuss Patent Litigation on Thursday morning.  His talk will focus on damages, other topics covered include; claim construction, de novo review of Markman hearings, mandatory disclosure of all relevant evidence in the Eastern District of Texas, and lessons and trends from Kearns Windshield Wiper cases.

60-minutes of Ethics CLE is available on Friday morning.  The ethics topics include ethics of contingency fee relationships and staying on the right side in litigation, from Rule 11 to Section 285.

AIPLA has cancelled the live streaming of the meeting, due to lack of interest.  We are capturing and will make available after the meeting, access to portions of the meeting.  Watch our website for informaiton on purchasing individual sessions.

1.2 Ethics credit

*The maximum credit-hours available for states using a 50-minute hour for CLE calculation. For 60-minute hour states the maximum CLE credit is 16.0 including up to 1.0 Ethics credit.
